Frequently Asked Questions

The answer to this question is divided into two parts: a rhinoplasty for cosmetic purposes only, or a rhinoplasty due to fractures, congenital defects, or respiratory issues. If the aim of the surgery is purely cosmetic, the decision rests with the patient to determine if they truly want to alter their nose for a better appearance. However, in the second case, the patient consults with a doctor to decide if they need rhinoplasty to correct a prominent congenital defect or a problem with the nasal functions.

After a rhinoplasty, it is important to avoid certain activities to ensure proper healing and reduce the risk of complications. The activities to avoid include:

1. Strenuous exercise and heavy activities: Avoid strenuous exercise and lifting heavy weights for at least 4-6 weeks after surgery.

2. Bending over and lifting heavy objects: Avoid bending over and lifting heavy objects to prevent increased pressure on the nose.

3. Sun exposure: Avoid direct exposure to the sun for long periods, as the skin around the nose may be sensitive and prone to damage or discoloration.

4. Glasses: Avoid wearing heavy sunglasses or eyeglasses that can put pressure on the nose for 4-6 weeks.

5.Swimming: Avoid swimming, especially in chlorinated water, for 4-6 weeks, as chlorine can cause irritation.

6. Smoking and alcohol consumption: Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol, as they can affect the healing process.

7. Sneezing or blowing the nose forcefully: Avoid sneezing or blowing your nose forcefully. Try to sneeze with your mouth open to reduce pressure on the nose.

8. Touching the nose: Avoid touching, rubbing, or attempting to remove bandages from the nose before the recommended time by the doctor.

Always follow your doctor’s instructions after the surgery to achieve the best results and ensure a quick recovery.

This question cannot be answered definitively because the types of procedures and the cases we mentioned earlier affect the cost of the operation. For example, there are highly complex surgeries that require a large medical team to handle them, and in some cases, more than one surgery is needed. In other cases, the procedure may be a simple cosmetic surgery, which often has a low to moderate cost. To estimate the cost of the operation and its expenses, it is necessary to schedule an appointment with the doctor in advance.
